Free workshop on 17th July at CREEC

Free Koala Rescuers Workshop Sun 17th July at CREEC

Moreton Bay Koala Rescue will organize a training afternoon for people interested to become a koala rescuer, ambulance driver or tree climber. This free workshop will be held on Sunday 17th July at 12 pm at CREEC, the Environmental Centre on 150 Rowley Road in Burpengary.

This volunteer group provides a service to the general public to help sick, injured and orphaned koalas and transports them to get veterinary treatment in one of the wildlife hospitals.

Potential rescuers, ambulance drivers and tree climbers need to be over 18 and own a car.

Even if you can only help out a few days per month, you are more than welcome to join.

No experience necessary, training will be mainly on the job with senior rescuers.

If you are interested to help out with the rescue and care of these beautiful animals, please go to the website www.moretonbaykoalarescue.org and download and complete the membership form and rescuers application form and bring it to the workshop with you.
