Adopt A Tree

Can’t get to our tree planting days to help? You can now adopt a tree instead! Adopting a tree means that we plant a new tree on your behalf. You are also more than welcome to join our tree planting events to plant your adopted tree.
By adopting a tree you will be helping to restore habitat that has been degraded or previously cleared, this in turn improves corridor connectivity for wildlife. Your tree will be planted at a location determined by our Tree Planting Team.
$5 per tree, or $30 for 10 trees.
If you would like to adopt a tree, please click the button below which will take you to our PayPal account. You can choose to pay via PayPal or Credit/Debit Card. Habitat Restoration
Our dedicated tree planting team are working towards regenerating koala habitat across the Moreton Bay region. Our team plants koala food trees and other natives in parks, reserves, open spaces and private property. If you have a passion for gardening and some spare time, they would love your help. See our Facebook page for the next planting day – or become a member and join our tree planting team!
Do you have privately-owned land that has areas that could be planted to help increase local habitat availability or that could provide a connection between existing koala habitat? Our team may be able to help plant trees on your property. Send us a message via our Contact Us page to find out more information and our team will assess whether your property could qualify for our tree planting program.
Things to note:
• Please note we only plant for conservation benefits within the City of Moreton Bay region.
• Native trees are selected in accordance to the vegetation communities on your land.
• No plantings will be done in urban development zones.
Did you know that residents can request the installation of street trees from their local council? Street trees offer many benefits including cooler streets (helps to reduce the urban heat island effect), increased wildlife, stepping-stone corridors for various wildlife species, slowed storm water run off, improved air quality, noise reduction and increased privacy. Council will select the type of tree and its location to ensure minimal damage to infrastructure. Request a street tree from the City of Moreton Bay website at: https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/Services/Roads/Trees.
