Again, we ask you to PLEASE SLOW DOWN in wildlife areas and if the worst happens call us, no accusations, no guilt just compassion... accidents happen π¨ππ 0401 080 333 - put it in your contacts list π

Happened today inside the boundary of Chelsea Street Reserve along Bremner Road. Our Council wanted these 3 well used (see map in comments) old growth blue gums βhabitatedβ. They are now 15m high stumps, they will never be home to another koala, glider, possum, bird, lizard or anything. It just doesnβt stop! This edge of the development is going to be car parking! Please explain City of Moreton Bay why this was necessary.

Our local councils, state and federal governments need to take action to stop allowing development in key koala habitat areas - whether mapped or not if koalas are present. We understand that development will happen, but there needs to be stronger laws stopping complete devastation and allowing decent sized corridors to allow connectivity between remaining habitat. With thanks to Craig Grecian and Karin Machell for the drone footage. Nicole Davies for the...
***WARNING - CONFRONTING IMAGE*** On Saturday morning this big healthy boy was HBC on Kremzow Rd and left for dead. Another driver noticed him, turned around and called us. Sadly his injuries were too great to overcome. Then on Sunday night we got a call for another koala running in almost exactly the same spot as "Kevin", that koala made it safely into habitat. Yet again, we plead with drivers to PLEASE SLOW DOWN!! A phone call is all it takes when an accident happens! π 0401 080 333
Poor boy Subway, rescued along the bike path behind Chelsea Street Reserve last Thursday. We were told he had been in the tree all week and judging by the amount of scat on the ground we agree. Diagnosed with dermatitis, lymphoma and other issues, he was too sick to save. Rest easy big boy π We are asking for your help, if you see a koala anywhere in the Moreton Bay region call us and we will come 24/7! π 0401 080 333
